Transcend har nämligen publicerat ett tal av Howard Richards, professor vid Earlham College, på sin hemsida (klicka på Articles & Publications i vänsterspalten, sedan "On Ending War"):
"I have to be careful not to ask the wrong question. I think “Why war?” is the wrong question. It is a question that is answered easily but not helpfully (...) The right question to ask is, “Why is it so difficult to organize peace?” That is the conclusion Quincy Wright came to after completing his monumental study of the history of war. If war can be said to have a cause at all, its cause is that so far humans have not succeeded in organizing a peaceful world. Kant in his plan for peace proceeded from a similar premise: war is the natural status of humanity, peace must be instituted."
